Banned Book Week

Banned Book Week!

Hi all!
So as you may know, this week is honoring banned books!
Now a lot of my favorite books are or have been banned. I once saw a quote that went something like “All banned books are obviously worth the read”. SO TRUE! (Well maybe not all of them...)

So today I’m going to simply make a list of some of my favorite banned books! :D
I feel like such a rebel right now >_<

Warning, some of these are real shockers!

these were either banned in the US, out of the US, or in schools

1. Harry Potter Series
2. Fahrenheit 451
3. The Giver

  1. Harry Potter, TFOIS, The Giver, Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, Holes, The Hunger Games, and Alice in Wonderland are wonderful books filled with great lessons. I agree with Looking For Alaska though.

    1. I can understand why someone would prevent someone else from reading Looking for Alaska, but I still really enjoyed the book. And it’s not like such things don’t happen in real life. ^-^

But I agree, the other ones really should be read by many people :)

  2. Wait, what? Those books are banned? Why are they banned? That list contains some of my favourite books! That's ridiculous! *sighs heavily* I pity those who are missing out. :(

    1. Yeah, they either, are, were, or are in certain schools (TFIOS is just in a few middle schools thank goodness!)
Reading the list I was like “Oh my gosh why are so many of my favorites on here?!” And that’s not even a small portion of them! (I haven’t read so many classics... ^_^ )

  3. No way! How could these books be banned? Most of these books are legends! So many people won't get to read these books and I feel sorry for them :(
