Top Ten Tuesday - Halloween Freebie!

Top Ten Tuesday - Halloween Freebie - My Top Ten Black/Orange/Red Book Covers

Heya!

(Going Orange for Halloween #OrangeisthenewPurple for today =p )
Welcome to a new Top Ten Tuesday, brought to you by
The Broke and the Bookish! Top Ten Tuesday (aka TTT) is a weekly blogger meme where you write lists of your top ten (insert topic here)!

This week’s theme is more or less free to choose, as long as it’s halloween themed! I chose to do it centered around covers again, but this time, I’ll be looking for black/red/orange covers I have on my shelf! Bonus points if they are creepy / if the book is scary(ish!)

So let’s get the TTT started! (Remember, not in any particular order!)

Angel Burn, by L.A. Weatherly

‘Meh’ book, but nice cover! It fits the Halloween colors well :)

I might have to un-haul this one eventually, though...

Half Bad, by Sally Green

Creepy cover for a creepy book for a creepy time of year! :)
Again, not really my favorite story out there, but it’s not bad! I should probably give the second one a try eventually.

 Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke

Meh not really Halloween-esque, but the colors work.

(Fun fact, I’m listening to Things We Lost in the Fire, by Bastille while writing this, and there’s flames burning the book... ^-^)

 Vengeance Road, by Erin Bowman

I still haven’t read this! I’ll try to in November, though. The cover is so awesome! Plus it’s kinda creepy with skulls and guns, so it can work for the halloween theme, right? Even though it’s a YA western? I guess we’ll have to see!

The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak

This one is deffinitely in my favorites!
The cover is black red and orange, plus the story is narrated by death!
The story is simply amazing! *_*

 Coraline, by Neil Gaiman
Of course autocorrect changed that to Caroline 50 million times before it got the message...

GENIOUSLY CREEPY BOOK!  Neil Gaiman, as some of you may know, is one of my favorite authors! I think I might just read this book this week to get in the right creepy mood...

Illuminae, by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Okay fine I cheated, this one isn’t on my bookshelf YET! But I just got an email from Amazon saying it should be in my PO box today or tomorrow, so there’s hope of getting it soon! Now it all depends on when I can actually go to the post office.
The cover is gorgeous, and apparently the story is kinda on the scary side! Perfect!

I’m so excited!!!

An Ember in the Ashes, by Sabaa Tahir

Okay fine it’s yellow. But still I love the story so much and I still think the cover can fit in with the theme. I know I’m a rebel  >.>

The Martian, by Andy Weir
I just saw the movie at the movies a few days ago! The cover works, plus it’d be super scary to be left alone on a planet!
Also, ew formatting problems.

Witch & Wizard, by James Patterson
Okay fine I didn’t read this one yet either... But the cover and subject works well! :)

That’s it for this week!
Which halloween-esque books would you recommend? Let me know!
