PJO read-along - book review- The Battle of the Labyrinth

Percy Jackson and the Olympians Read-Along - Book Review - The Battle of the Labyrinth

Hey Halfbloods!

So, as a part of our PJO read-alongErika and I have completed the reading of The Battle of the Labyrinth, and will now review it :) (Gonna keep it short this week though, I have lots to do today with halloween! :D)

Goodread’s Blurb
"Percy Jackson isn't expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears on campus, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse.
In this fourth installment of the blockbuster series, time is running out as war between the Olympians and the evil Titan lord Kronos draws near. Even the safe haven of Camp Half-Blood grows more vulnerable by the minute as Kronos's army prepares to invade its once impenetrable borders. To stop the invasion, Percy and his demigod friends must set out on a quest through the Labyrinth - a sprawling underground world with stunning surprises at every turn"

OH my gods so good!

This book helps build up to the final book so much! Kronos rises, Titan armies group together, and you get the basic feeling that yeah, something big’s gonna happen.

In other words, I’m so incredibly excited to read the last one now!

This book also, like the other three, has a distinct aspect. This one? Relationships with others your age. Aka, we get a few adorable Percabeth moments, jealousy, and the importance of friendship and trust. <3

Annabeth glared at me like she was going to punch me. And then she did something that surprised me even more. She kissed me.
“Be careful, Seaweed Brain.” She put on her hat and vanished.
I probably would’ve sat there for the rest of the day, staring at the lava and trying to remember what my name was, but the sea demons jarred me back to reality

Too cute! I really like the two of them together :3
To add to that, Grover has a girlfriend (Juniper), Clarisse has Chris, and Rachel becomes a bit to clingy with Percy (I don’t like Rachel.)

More than the second and third installments, this book has that snappy humor that I love. Here are some quotes;
(Tyson speaking) “”Yay!” he said. “Now we can eat peanut butter sandwiches and ride fish ponies! We can fight monsters and see Annabeth and make things go BOOM!
I hoped he didn’t mean all at the same time, but I told him absolutely, we’d have a lot of fun this summer” <-- the quote that makes me laugh every time!

There were a lot of answers I might’ve given, from “I knew that” to “LIAR!” to “Yeah right, and I’m Zeus.”” <-- again, classic! XD

This characters go through so much realization and character development! They are all so mature now it’s incredible!
We don’t really get a lot of new characters in this book, more like the character build on themselves.

I loved the plot, with all of the steps they had to go through to get to the end of the book! So much fun to read! Adrenaline-packed and action-ful and awesome! (wow so many a words!)

Sorry I have to cut this short, I have another post to write, then I only have like 2 hours to do a bunch of Halloween preparations ^-^

This is, again, one of my favorites of the series! If I could give more than 5/5 feathers, I totally would! :)

What did you think of The Battle of the Labyrinth? Let me know in the comments! :)
