Top Ten Tuesday - Unfinished Series

Top Ten Series I have yet to finish...

Hey all!
Welcome to a new TTT! This is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, make sure to check out their blog!

Now I’m one of those people who will almost always finish a series I started, unless I really get uninterested. I might not get 10 into this weeks list, but I’ll see what I can do!!

(Also, I’m really ashamed of some of these, some of these have a reason, and some of these I just DNFed for no reason whatsoever x) )

1. The Heroes Of Olympus, by Rick Riordan *hides*
What I’ve read: Books 1-4 out of 5
Why I didn’t finish: I can’t find book 5 here anymore, and I never got around to ordering it on amazon... I’m most ashamed of this one to be honest...

2. The Fire Within, by Chris D’lacey
What I’ve read: Books 1-5 out of y
Why I didn’t finish: Okay for some reason book 6 is the only one taking you in a totally different world where the main plot isn’t even relevant! That bugged me after the first three chapters, so I gave up.

3. The Infernal Devices, by Cassandra Clare
What I’ve read: Book 1 out of 3
Why I didn’t finish: I still need to buy the next two =p

4. Wondrous Strange, by Kelly Livingston
What I’ve read: Books 1-2 out of 3
Why I didn’t finish: I never got the 3rd one, and now I think I might not get it unless I really want to for some reason.

5. Inkheart, by Cornelia Funke
What I’ve read:Book 1 out of 3
Why I didn’t finish: Meh I was done with the story after the 1st book

6. The Maze Runner, by James Dashner
What I’ve read:Book 1 out of (soon to be) 6
Why I didn’t finish:I actually really liked the story! Its just that getting the sequel never seemed like much of a priority for me for some reason...? I dunno I just never got to it and I don’t really mind for some reason.

7. Angel Burn, by Lee Weatherly
What I’ve read:Books 1-2 out of 3
Why I didn’t finish:I didn’t know there was going to be a 3rd book! That and I lost interest halfway through the second book because it was increasingly repetitive.

8. Twilight, by Sephanie Meyer
What I’ve read: Books 1-1.5 out of 4
Why I didn’t finish: Yeaaaah I just didn’t like it at all, gave up halfway through book 2.

9. The Lorien Legacies, by Pittacus Lore
What I’ve read: Book 1 out of 6
Why I didn’t finish:I didn’t really like the first book much. Plus, it’s been a long time since I’ve read it, maybe I should try it again?

10. The Chronicles of Narnia, by C. S. Lewis
What I’ve read: Books 1-2 out of 7
Why I didn’t finish: I never got to the next ones due to the excitement of reading a new release, lol XD

Oh wow I actually got 10! Well, some of these are definitely stretching it a bit, though...

What series did you never get to finish? Let me know in the comments! :D
I <3 comments, they make me happy ^-^

  1. I haven't read any Riordan, although I'm planning on starting with his new series coming next month. The Norse angle has me intrigued... and Narnia, I like those books but some are better than others. Have a great Tuesday!

    1. Hi!
Riordan is one of my favorite authors, I would definitely reccomend reading Percy Jackson first! :D (see my previous post about Magnus chase :) ) I can’t wait until that series comes out!!
Yeah I still have to get to narnia XD
      Thanks and you too!

  2. Narnia is on my list as well. I loved THE LION, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBE as a kid, but never went on with the series for some reason. I really need to remedy that! Percy is another one I need to finish. Funny enough, with The Maze Runner and Inkheart, I've read the first two but not the third. Weird.

    Happy TTT!

    1. yeah I got through the first two narnia books and then put them down for a bit. Not too sure why =p
Percy Jackson is one series (quintology?) that I will read over and over again, I’m doing a read-along pretty soon you can follow if you want, so you can finish the series! :D
      Happy TTT to you too!

  3. I've read the first book in a lot of series and decided not to continue, but, if I like the first one and do decide to continue the series, I'm like you. I'll finish unless I get completely uninterested. But what do you mean six Maze Runner books, aren't there only three plus a prequel? I just finished that series, and I liked it but I still don't wanna have to go back to it lol.

  6. The Chronicles of Narnia is a good series. Highly recommended to finish. Inkheart is one I read the first too. While I like the concept,I trudge through the writing. A few others here are on my TBR. Happy Reading!
